From Barça to Sevilla: Laporta with Surprise Sale Underway

Sevilla are looking for their new Jesús Navas and have thought of a homegrown player from FC Barcelona.

Sevilla will visit Montjuic this Sunday. Although it has already been confirmed that there will be no board lunch nor will they be in the stands - as last season -... The truth is that the Andalusian club still wants to do business with Barça .

Laporta has been in negotiations with Sevilla for several days, since a call has arrived on his phone asking directly for Héctor Fort. He is a substitute at Barça and the Seville team intends to take him in the next winter transfer market to replace Jesús Navas.

Jesús Navas is retiring at the end of the year and Sevilla need a top-class replacement to make up for his absence. The chosen one is none other than 18-year-old Héctor Fort, who hasn't had many minutes since the arrival of Hansi Flick.

Sevilla are looking to take advantage of this situation by making a firm offer to sign Hector Fort. He is valued at around 10 million euros and Laporta is clear that he doesn't intend to lose track of him, he could be a great player in a short time.

Hector Fort: Laporta negotiates

At his age, Hector Fort needs minutes and the reality is that he has a really difficult time at Barcelona. He has the best full-back in the world, Kounde , ahead of him and the truth is that it is very difficult for him to play in important matches.

That's where Sevilla come in, which is looking to sign the Catalan in the January transfer window. García Pimienta likes him a lot and has thought of him as a replacement for Jesús Navas.

Laporta has been clear in Sevilla's first approaches: Fort can leave, as long as the Catalan club doesn't lose control of his future. This means that he can do so on loan, or on a transfer, keeping a percentage of his rights and with the option to buy him back.

Hector Fort can leave

In this sense, if he can leave on loan, Laporta intends to reach an agreement beforehand for the renewal of his contract.

Hector Fort's current contract with Barcelona ends in 2026 and the idea is to sign him to a new long-term contract. At the moment, there are other priorities, but the idea is for the youth player to remain at the club for a long time.

The possibility of joining Sevilla is on the table, but right now it seems complicated. Everything will depend on how the negotiations progress and how much desire Hector Fort has to leave.
