Pablo Torre KO'd as Deco Closes Deal and This Player Signs with Barça Until 2029

The Cantabrian knows that he will have no opportunities left at Barça and will have to find a new destination

Pablo Torre's uncertainty about his continuity at Barça is bigger than ever than ever. The Cantabrian is aware of the difficulties in the midfield but he expected someone else to leave before him. That won't be the case, since the only player who was "in doubt" has decided to continue at Barcelona by signing a new contract until 2029: Fermín López.

TV3 has revealed that Fermín López has accepted the renewal proposal that Deco had put on the table. Until now, he had a contract until 2027 and his clause reached 400 million euros. However, everything will change with the new contract that he'll sign in the next few days.

Having closed this renewal, Fermín López's new contract will be extended until 2029, that is, two more seasons than before. In this sense, Madrid-Barcelona has been able to find out that his termination clause will also increase. This will make it impossible for the rest of the teams to be able to take the young Andalusian talent.

Everything has been agreed between both parties. The only thing left now is to set a date and time for Fermín López to sign his new contract with Barça. He was also discharged from his medical treatment, returning to full fitness for a key phase of the season.

Fermin López Lands the Final blow on Pablo Torre

The renewal of Fermín López's contract has one clear loser: Pablo Torre. The Cantabrian has a contract signed until 2026 and, in addition, his few minutes could end up causing his departure from Barça.

He isn't an untouchable player for Flick and Pablo Torre knows it. He is willing to leave, as long as the team he can go to offers him minutes and a clear plan for the future.

Madrid-Barcelona has been reporting that Deco is willing to let Pablo Torre go, but he has several conditions. The main one is that he wants to keep 50% of any future sale of the Cantabrian. He also wants a buyback option if he ends up succeeding outside the Catalonian club.

In any case, it's all being discussed too soon. Pablo Torre wants to wait until the January transfer window to see how many minutes he gets when everyone is fit. Fermin López is ahead of him, as are many other teammates...

It doesn't seem like Pablo Torre will have a very long career at Barça. We'll have to wait and see, but Fermín López's renewal has affected him, possibly sunk him.
