Bayern Munich's Payback: Star Florentino Wants Now Gone. Farewell to Madrid

Bayern responds to Davies's departure to Real Madrid by taking Florentino's dream signing away from him

Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have been under a heated relationship because of recent history. The Bavarian club is working on a response that Ancelotti will not like at all.

Real Madrid signed Toni Kroos for a bargain price when his contract was about to be terminated. They then signed David Alaba for free and are going to do the same next summer with Alphonso Davies.

Florentino's next German Target

Real Madrid's next German target is Florian Wirtz, the 21-year-old great hope of German soccer.

Wirtz is shining at both Bayer Leverkusen and the German national team under Xabi Alonso. His contract with Bayer will be terminated by 2027, but he's in the sights of the big clubs.

Real Madrid is one of them. Florentino Pérez has him as one of his priority short-term objectives. But Bayern Munich has has stepped on his way.

The club has taken advantage of the fact that Alphonso Davies, probably the best left-back in the world, has not reached an agreement to renew with Bayern, to take him for free. Davies will arrive at the Bernabéu next summer.

Bayern's response to Davies's signing for Real Madrid

And Bayern's response didn't take long to arrive. The latest news from Germany is that the Bavarian club has blocked the Leverkusen star's future.

In the fight for the player, Real Madrid and Bayern had become finalists. Either one club or the other.

Sky Germany has reported today that Wirtz is Bayern's first choice in the transfer window, although they are leaving the door open to Xavi Simons if they are unable to secure Wirtz.

The same source confirms that Bayern and Bayer are in contact with each other regarding the transfer of Wirtz. The player prefers the option of staying in Germany for a few years before going abroad.

The player's price has already been set: 150 million euros. Although it could end up being just over 100 million euros fixed plus around 20 milliondepending on how the transfer goes.
