Xabi Alonso, 2x1: Florentino Finds Out About Double Betrayal, Madrid is Hurt

The Basque coach is willing to accept Manchester City's offer if they bring him a target from Real Madrid.

Florentino Pérez has received a blow that he didn't expect and it is twofold. The president of Real Madrid was clear that the first team's future coach had to be Xabi Alonso, but it seems that the Basque is feeling attracted by another proposal. Manchester City wants him and he is willing to accept, as long as they come cash in hand and sign an important player that he has asked for.

Florentino's problem is twofold because, beyond the fact that he could lose his first choice for the Madrid dugout, he has also asked for the transfer of one of his targets. What Xabi Alonso has asked for to coach Manchester City, besides a lot of money, is the transfer of the German Florian Wirtz , his favorite at Leverkusen. He wants him as a generational replacement for De Bruyne, who is headed to Saudi Arabia.

Alonso has managed to turn Wirtz into a world star since his arrival at Leverkusen and now wants him wherever he goes. City have considered the Spaniard as a replacement for Guardiola and are willing to comply this request, even though the transfer could cost 150 million euros.

Florentino hasn't taken this well, as he has seen that he could be left without the coach and player he wants for next season. Xabi Alonso could leave Real Madrid in the lurch for Manchester's money, while he also wants to take Florian Wirtz with him.

Florian Wirtz may stay in Germany

Although Xabi Alonso would like to take him to Manchester and Florentino wants him for his Real Madrid ... it seems that the team that is closest to Florian Wirtz is another one.

Bayern Munich have proven on more than one occasion that they are able to attract the best talents in German soccer. Wirtz is seen as a key piece for the future of the club, especially after the departure of players such as Thomas Müller, who will soon have to give way to new generations. While City and Real Madrid have been interested, Bayern seem to have taken the lead in this race.

Although City and Real Madrid have the financial capacity to compete for big transfers, it seems that, in this case, Bayern has moved with greater speed and determination.
